Cuban President sends condolences for death of Max Lesnik

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 9 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez offered his condolences for the death of Cuban journalist Max Lesnik last Saturday in Miami.

Díaz-Canel stressed in his message that Lesnik’s support for Cuba and the normalization of U.S.-Cuba relations made him suffer anti-Cuban terrorism without ever surrendering.

The leader thus referred to the legacy of Lesnik, whose magazine Réplica was the tarteg of at least 11 bomb attacks in Miami for its criticism of the hostile U.S.-Cuba policy.

Lesnik, founder of Alianza Martiana, was a steadfast defender of Cuban sovereignty and bilateral dialogue until the end of his life.
