John Collins Brings The Power With Two-Hand Slams Against Celtics

BOSTON – Utah Jazz forward John Collins made his return to the lineup against the Boston Celtics and immediately made his presence felt.

Collins missed the last five games with back injury management. The game at TD Garden was his first appearance this month but he didn’t miss a step.

The long ball wasn’t there for Collins but he was still able to get going inside the arc.

Through three quarters, Collins led the Jazz in scoring with 18. With that said it was a rough scoring game for Utah, Collins and fellow veteran Collin Sexton were the only players to reach double figures going into the fourth.

Meanwhile, Boston’s top three scorers combined for nearly as many points as the entire Jazz roster.

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Jazz trailed 90-69.

Jazz Continue Road Trip In Boston Against Celtics

The Utah Jazz will end the east coast portion of their five-game road trip against the Boston Celtics tonight.

Utah is currently on a five-game losing streak and has also lost 12 straight on the road. Meanwhile, the Celtics have won four in a row, 10 of their last 12, and appear primed for another deep postseason run.

The injury report is lengthy for both teams on Monday in Beantown. Boston will be without Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford. Utah is without Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, Keyonte George, and Taylor Hendricks.

This is the first of two matchups between Utah and Boston this season. The Celtics will come to Salt Lake City on Friday, March 21.
