On March 4th, Ambassador Zhang Lizhong was invited to visit Masulita Children's Home by Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) and delivered a speech. Ugandan Vice President Alupo and Dr. Balaam, Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs attended the event.
Ambassador Zhang said that the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperationconcluded with a big success. The relation between China and Uganda has been elevated to the level of comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. China appreciates Uganda's efforts in promoting the development of women and children.China has implemented a series of activities under "Warm Children's Hearts: A China-Africa Joint Action" initiated by Professor Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping,and sponsored Ugandan youth to participate in academic education, vocational education and training exchanges. We are committed to devoting "China's contribution" to the healthy growth of African children.
Vice President Alupo thanked the Chinese government for helping UWESO realize its development vision. She said that the actions of the Chinese government have effectively promoted the health and well-being of Ugandan children and planted the seeds of a bright future and China-Africa friendship in the hearts of local youth.
