On March 6th, H.E. Amb. Guo Haiyan paid a courtesy call on Rt. Hon. Moses Wetang'ula，Speaker of the National Assembly.
Amb. Guo conveyed to the Rt.Hon.Wetang'ula cordial greetings from H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and introduced the convening of the Two Sessions. Appreciating the rapid growing China-Kenya relations with close exchanges between the legislatures of both countries, Amb. Guo reiterated China’s strong commitment to continuously promoting the development of friendly cooperation between the two countries.
Rt. Hon. Wetang'ula extended his best wishes to H.E. Zhao Leji and welcomed Amb. Guo’s assumption of office. He affirmed that China is one of Kenya’s most important partners, emphasizing that the National Assembly attaches great importance to strengthening relations with China, firmly adheres to the one-China principle and is committed to continuously deepening bilateral relations.
