MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Packers have made free agency moves and shelled out some money this free agency period.
Former 49ers guard Aaron Banks signed with Green Bay, for four years and $77 million. This deal makes him the sixth-highest paid guard in the NFL. Since he stepped into a starting role in 2022, the 27-year-old out of Notre Dame started 43 games with a pass block win rate of 89.9% and a run block win rate of 66.5%.
Green Bay also signed former Raider corner Nate Hobbs for four years, $48 million. The 25-year-old out of Illinois has struggled with injuries in his career. He missed 17 games in four seasons. In 11 games last year, he had 49 tackles, five passes defended and an interception.
The Packers also parted with defensive tackle JT Slaton. He signed with Cincinnati on a two year, $15.1 million deal.
