Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he doesn’t expect Bukayo Saka to play before the international break.
The Gunners boss did say the same thing about Gabriel Martinelli before he made a surprise return against Manchester United at the weekend, but Arteta was keen to emphasise that Saka needs longer to recover full fitness:
“With Gabi, it was a bit different the kind of injury that he had. And we talked, I think last week, that he was much closer than B. After the international break, let’s see where he (Saka) is.”
“His progress is really good, he is really willing – as you can all imagine – so we are positive that in a few weeks hopefully he will be back.”
Expected Return Date – Tuesday 1st April v Fulham
