Stephen Curry Makes NBA History During Warriors-Trail Blazers

The Golden State Warriors entered Monday night's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers looking to extend their winning streak to five games, and they were able to do so.

Golden State jumped out to an early lead in Monday's matchup and they never looked back, defeating Portland 130-120. This marks the Warriors' fifth consecutive victory as they have continued their torrid streak.

Gary Payton II led the way for Golden State, recording a career-high 26 points. Buddy Hield added 20 points and seven assists of his own while Jimmy Butler recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Stephen Curry also had an incredible game as he scored 24 points on 5-11 from three-point range and he also made NBA history in Monday's victory.

Of course, Curry entered Monday's matchup against the Trail Blazers just seven made three shy of becoming the first player in NBA history to make 4,000 career triples in the regular season.

Unfortunately, the star guard fell short as he made just five three-pointers in the game, but he did make a different piece of NBA history.

With his five made threes in Monday's contest, Curry reached 250 made threes on the year, which is the 11th season of his career that he has reached that feat. Of course, that is the most in NBA history.

This is just another incredible milestone for Curry as he has become who many believe to be the best three-point shooter in NBA history.

Even at 36 years old, Curry continues to dominate every time he is on the court and he has helped the Warriors become title contenders once again this season, especially with the addition of Butler.

Curry will now look to make more NBA history on Thursday when the Warriors host the Sacramento Kings on TNT as he sits just two three-pointers shy of reaching 4,000 career threes made.
