On March 6, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin met with Mayor of Lidingö Daniel Källenfors and they exchanged views on China-Sweden practical cooperation.
Ambassador Cui introduced China’s achievements in implementing the innovation-driven development strategy and promoting high-quality development, and gave an overview of the recently held Two Sessions. He stated that China’s economy has a stable foundation, remarkable resilience and vast potential, and the dominating trend of a sound Chinese economy for the long term and the elements supporting it have not changed. He emphasized that China and Sweden enjoy strong complementarity and broad space for cooperation, and express the readiness to further deepen practical cooperation with the Swedish side in areas such as green, low-carbon and sustainable development and sci-tech innovation and enhance local exchanges and mutual visits to further advance China-Sweden relations.
Mayor Källenfors shared some basic facts about Lidingö and looked forward to welcoming delegations of Chinese local enterprises for future visits. He would like to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side in areas such as green energy, sewage treatment, and artificial intelligence for mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
