On 7 March 2025, the day before International Women's Day, the Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, Her Excellency Ms. Yan Jiarong, published an article in The Tribune on Beijing Declaration and China’s Development in Women’s Affairs.
Beginning with the upcoming unveiling ceremony of the female pioneer sculptures in Clifton Heritage National Park in The Bahamas, the article highlights China's accelerated actions over the past 30 years since The United Nations (UN) Fourth World Conference on Women held in 1995 in Beijing in promoting gender equality and the comprehensive development of women. The article highlights that the Beijing Declaration has always been a blueprint for global action to promote gender equality. China has been actively practicing the spirit of the Beijing Declaration and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, leading the development of global women's affairs, and is willing to strengthen cooperation with The Bahamas in women's development and cultural heritage preservation.
