Liverpool-linked defender Milos Kerkez during Spurs vs Bournemouth
Liverpool-linked defender Milos Kerkez has continued to impress for Bournemouth
Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai continues to back Milos Kerkez as links over an Anfield move for the defender refuse to go away.
Kerkez impressed in Bournemouth's draw at Tottenham, with his deep cross landing perfectly for Marcus Tavernier to open the scoring. The defender was active on social media following the performance, prompting fellow Hungary international Szoboszlai to reply with heart and clapping emojis.
Liverpool fans have long hoped their Hungarian star will be able to convince his international team-mate to move to Anfield. Not only that, but Reds transfer chief Richard Hughes helped bring Kerkez to the Premier League to begin with when the defender joined Bournemouth from AZ in 2023.
The response to Kerkez's latest post has been a telling one, with calls of "Agent Szoboszlai" and more direct pleas for the 21-year-old to move to Anfield. A January move didn't materialise, despite a cryptic message from the defender, but things could move more quickly over the summer.

"I talk on the pitch," Kerkez wrote in January after scoring in Bournemouth's Premier League win at Newcastle, Some read it as a preference to focus on his work rather than actively prompting further speculation about his future - not that the speculation has stopped, mind you.
Left-back appears to be a priority area for Arne Slot and Liverpool. Even if right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves this summer, Conor Bradley has shown himself to be an able deputy, but things are looking less encouraging on the other flank.
Andy Robertson is now 31 years old and has shown at times this season that he might not be able to consistently repeat the highs of his early Liverpool career. Efforts have been made to mould Kostas Tsimikas as his heir, but the Greek international has struggled himself when given opportunities to audition.

While Liverpool recovered from going behind against Southampton to keep their title charge going, Bournemouth's hopes of joining them in next season's Champions League were dealt a blow. Tavernier's opener was followed up by a goal from Evanilson to put the Cherries 2-0 up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, only for Pape Sarr and Son Heung-min to ensure the spoils were shared.
Andoni Iraola's side now sit down in ninth, though they are still just three points adrift of a fifth-place finish which could yet be enough for Champions League qualification. Newcastle were the latest side to climb above them, doing so with a 1-0 win at West Ham on Monday night.
"We have lost something in the last few games," Iraola said of his Bournemouth team, who host Brentford next time out. "We are performing well and having good moments but we are not winning and big teams find ways to win."
