Player ‘has a preference’ to join Liverpool, Manchester City or Arsenal – Has chosen his PL destinations

Sporting star Viktor Gyökeres is eyeing a move to Liverpool, Manchester City or Arsenal in the summer window.

That’s according to Tuesday’s A Bola, who state the striker favours a move to the Premier League.

It’s further claimed the 26-year-old ‘has a preference’ of joining Liverpool, Manchester City or Arsenal.

Gyökeres’ contract lasts until 2028, yet the newspaper states his exit after this season is ‘inevitable’.

The player and the Lions are seeking a transfer, with Sporting already setting a €70m price tag despite the €100m release clause. The report states the price could increase if there’s a battle involving two or more clubs.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are preferred by the Sweden international ahead of other clubs in the Premier League. Earlier claims had reported about Manchester United interest, but A Bola now makes no mention of them.

The report states his options are also limited outside England and includes Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester City have Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush as their two strikers and are unlikely to move for Gyökeres. Liverpool could consider signing him if Darwin Núñez or another attacker were to leave.

Arsenal have a need to strengthen the striker position and Gyökeres could be an option for them.

The frontman has managed 39 goals and nine assists from 40 games for Sporting so far this season.
