Dell’s Alienware has been offering gaming monitors with Samsung Display’s QD-OLED screens for quite a while now. Well, the company has now announced two more models with the South Korean tech giant’s cutting edge panels, the Dell Alienware AW2725D and the Dell Alienware AW3425DW.
The former is a more affordable version of the AW2725DF, featuring a lower refresh rate. Whereas, the latter is a successor to the AW3423DW and offers a newer generation Samsung Display panel as well as a higher refresh rate. Here are the features, prices, and availability details of the two monitors.
Dell Alienware AW3425DW features, prices, and availability
The Dell Alienware AW3425DW features Samsung Display’s second generation 34-inch ultra wide QD-OLED panel. The major upgrade the new monitor offers over the older one is in the refresh rate department. While the previous model had a 175Hz refresh rate with the first generation panel, the new one comes with a 240Hz refresh rate.

Like the previous model, the new monitor offers 2,440 x 1,440 pixels resolution, 0.03ms response time, 99.3% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, and support for VESA AdaptiveSync Display 240, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible.
You get two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, a USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB Type-B port, and a USB Type-C port with 15W USB Power Delivery. Dell has priced AW3425DW at USD 799 and will make it available to purchase in North America on 29 April 2025. Prices and availability details for other markets are still unknown.
Dell Alienware AW2725D specs, prices, and availability
While the last year’s AW2725DW offers 360Hz refresh rate, the newly launched AW2725D features 280Hz refresh rate. That’s the major difference between the two. This as well as the AW3425DW come with a stand that offers height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. The latter also features AW30 design.

Other specifications remain vastly unchanged, including a 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution, 0.03ms response time, 99.3% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, and support for VESA AdaptiveSync Display 280, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible.
It has two USB HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1, USB Type-B, and USB Type-C with 15W PD ports. Alienware has priced the AW2725D at USD 549 and will make it available to purchase in North America in the Summer. The company hasn’t announced pricing and availability details for other markets.
