It’s Day 2 of NFL free agency.
So keep it right here Tuesday for all the latestGiants news and updates.
On Monday, the Giants signed five players from other teams — and re-signed their top in-house free agent, wide receiver Darius Slayton. That means they have re-signed four of their in-house unrestricted free agents so far.
The big Giants-related issue entering Tuesday is, of course, at quarterback.
If ex-Giants starter Daniel Jones leaves the Vikings and tries to compete with Anthony Richardson for the Colts’ starting job, that would mean another open spot for Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson (who are both possibilities for the Giants).
The Steelers on Monday lost Justin Fields to the Jets, and the Vikings unsurprisingly lost Sam Darnold to the Seahawks, who had traded Geno Smith to the Raiders.
So Pittsburgh currently looms as a potential landing spot for Rodgers, presuming the Steelers don’t want Wilson back.
No matter what the Giants do in free agency at quarterback — Rodgers, Wilson or someone less prominent — they’ll still be very much in the mix to draft a quarterback at No. 3 (or maybe a spot or two higher) on April 24.
In the meantime, here’s a full recap of what the Giants have done so far in free agency:
