“Getting better and better” – Everton player tipped for national return, Moyes has been key

Last summer, Everton took Jesper Lindstrøm on loan from Napoli and he’s been going through a adaptation process with the Premier League side.

The Denmark international managed one assist from 28 games and it came in Everton’s 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.

Lindstrøm’s form seems to have improved since David Moyes replaced Sean Dyche as the Toffees manager in January.

Denmark assistant manager Daniel Agger is of that opinion, and has been speaking about the Everton man on podcast PL Showet. [Tipsbladet](https://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/premier-league/landsholdscomeback-agger-roser-dansk-stjerne) have relayed his comments.

The attacking midfielder last made an appearance for his country against Norther Ireland in November 2023. Since then, he’s made it to the squad only once and it was during last September’s international break.

Brian Riemer took charge of the national team during the last international break and will announce the squad for March’s fixtures later today.

Agger, who previously played for Liverpool, states the Denmark coaching staff have been following the 25-year-old.

_“As you also say, Jesper may have been a bit down in the dumps, and now he has found his footing, and it seems that he is thriving,”_ he said.

_“You can see that on the pitch, he has delivered some really, really good performances. He is someone we discuss and talk about in our small group._

_“He is a type who also fits well in a national team. He gives a good mood, and he is a good guy, and then he has qualities on the pitch, and that is ultimately what we need. He is someone we follow really, really closely.”_

Lindstrøm’s improvement in performances came after Moyes’ return to Goodison Park. The former centre-back insists it’s down to him to further improve his form.

_“I think we’ve already seen in the games he has played for Everton that it has only gone one way. It’s getting better and better. The Premier League is difficult, you have to find your feet, and I think he has found that now,”_ Agger explained.

_“Then it is up to him to build on from there, it’s up to him to show that he can easily be there, because he has the qualities for it.”_
