The messages continue to flood in for the departing Director of Football Kevin Thelwell, as Everton fans might have treated him too harshly.
Thelwell will see his post with the Toffees come to an end at the end of the season as the Friedkin Group look ahead to a completely revamped plan.
It’s a bold move, but seemingly needed for Everton, as the Friedkin’s drop the Director of Football role.
Time will tell whether this is the right move from the owners, but Angus Kinnear is taking Leeds United staff to Everton, showing the new board member does not mess about.
But Thelwell can still make some changes in the short time he has left, as he clearly made a brilliant impact around the club.

Although he’s had his faults, Thelwell pulled a blinder with Carlos Alcaraz’s deal as it could prove to be a brilliant piece of business.
It’s exciting times for Everton with a new change, but Thelwell no doubt deserves his flowers as it seems like Kinnear and co will have big shoes to fill around Finch Farm.
