Everton dream transfer may be on as player convinced he needs to stay in the Premier League

Everton’s dream of bringing Richarlison back to the club from Tottenham Hotspur this summer may be on, as he intends to stay in the Premier League.

[Jorge Nicola](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z2zIrR-Zc8) provides the latest on the striker’s future today as he finds himself linked with a potential move to Palmeiras.

The Brazilian club were interested in the Tottenham man last month and made moves towards him as they sought out a striker. Nothing came of it, and they eventually signed Vitor Roque from Barcelona.

Rumours around Richarlison have not died down, though, particularly as he has been spotted at Palmeiras’ training ground over the last week.

That naturally fuelled speculation but has been dismissed outright, with it instead explained he was simply visiting a doctor at the club who he knows as he recovers from his latest injury layoff.

Nicola pours even more cold water on the rumour in his report, stating that there is no chance of a deal and Richarlison intends to remain in the Premier League anyway.

_“Richarlison remains convinced that he needs to stay in the Premier League and, to top it all off, Palmeiras is no longer looking for a centre forward,”_ he said on the matter.

That should come as music to Everton’s ears, with reports over the last week linking them with a move for the Tottenham man in the summer.

The Toffees are set for a big window as they reshape the team and the Friedkin Group pump investment in to a squad that is in desperate need of it.

A return for Richarlison, who was a firm fan favourite before his move to Tottenham, would certainly be a welcome one and a boost to an Everton squad that is lacking in attacking options.

The fact that Richarlison intends to stay in the Premier League if he leaves Tottenham would surely mean Everton, who he remains extremely close to, often posting on social media and interacting with Everton fans about the club, would be at the top of his list.

Of course, a lot has to happen in between for the move to take place but it’s a nice potential boost for the Toffees transfer dream, nonetheless.
