The North London club also needs to focus on other departments. They will need new midfielders and a backup keeper. Hence, Arsenal board can be seen spending wisely. Along with the above mentioned top targets, there are plenty more names linked with the club.
As for striker, one new name has came into consideration. He is very young and hence can be looked upon as long-term investment. In addition, he can be signed for relatively low fee. Lastly, Gunners have good relation with his current club.

Arsenal have a very good relation with Bologna. Firstly, they signed Takehiro Tomiyasu from then and then Riccardo Calafiori joined last summer. This relation can help Gunners beat other clubs who are in the race to sign Castro.
Bologna are said to demand a fee of around €25 million to €30 million. This may not be a problem for Gunners. However, it is still uncertain wheter they step-up their interest in Castro as other experienced strikers may be the top priority. It will be interesting to see which jersey will Castro wear next season.
