Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold's feelings towards one another have been revealed after the pair were spotted in a training ground 'bust-up' on Monday. Premier League leaders Liverpool were preparing for the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash with Paris Saint-Germain in an opening training session, when their two star men were seen being separated by teammates.
In the footage, Alexander-Arnold could be seen squaring up to Salah, who responded by shoving the Englishman and laughing in his face. The likes of Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones, and Harvey Elliott were all on hand to break up the squabble, but the full-back was believed to have continued looking upset following the incident. Now, a new report has come to light over what actually happened and how the players feel in the aftermath.
Salah and Alexander-Arnold's Feelings Towards Each Other Revealed
The pair were spotted not long after their 'fight'
According to a new update from the Liverpool Echo, the relationship between Salah and Alexander-Arnold appears to be absolutely fine, as the two were spotted laughing together following their training pitch antics. The pair are said to be long-time friends, and it is claimed that the squabble was more a case of mischief than any genuine falling out.
The situation was described by one source as a 'light-hearted ribbing,' though the origin of this is not entirely known. Of course, the Reds have far bigger fish to fry on Tuesday when they take on Paris Saint-Germain. The six-time European champions will take a 1-0 lead into the second leg, despite being criticised for their lacklustre display in the Parc des Princes.
Salah, in particular, will be looking for a much better showing, after being scored a 3/10 for his performance in the first leg by French outlet L'Equipe. His blushes were spared by teammate Alisson, who had an incredible showing to keep an unlikely clean sheet.

Salah and Alexander-Arnold's Liverpool Future
The two are out of contract in the summer
What may be of bigger concern to Arne Slot is that the Reds are still yet to tie down their two troublemakers to new contracts, with both their current deals due to expire in the summer. Salah has been outspoken about the fact that no progress has been made in discussions, but David Ornstein has reiterated that the club are desperate to keep both him and club captain Virgil van Dijk.
As for Alexander-Arnold, it appears more likely that the full-back could leave the club at the end of the season in order to link up with international colleague Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid. Los Blancos are believed to be interested in a free transfer and offered an insulting £20 million to secure the 26-year-old in January, a bid that was swiftly turned down.
