West Ham Ace Told To Stay For“Another Season”Despite Release Clause Reports

Former West Ham defender John Paintsil has urged Mohammed Kudus to remain at the London Stadium for “another season”.

Speaking to Africa Foot, Paintsil said that both the Hammers and the player would benefit if Kudus does decide to stay:

“I think it’s too early for Kudus to leave West Ham. He’s one of the club’s key players and he’s highly regarded. Another season could see him earn an even bigger deal in the future. He’s an extremely talented player who can play in a number of positions. For Kudus and West Ham to get the most out of a potential move, he’d better have another great season. That way, he can join a big club, and West Ham will get a fair compensation.”

“Unless an extraordinary offer comes along, he should stay. There’s no reason to rush a move. Plus, he seems happy at West Ham, so there’s no need to rush. He’s the real star of the team.”

A release clause will become active this summer

Multiple reports have confirmed the existence of a buyout fee in Kudus’s contract, and it is believed that it can be triggered once the summer transfer window opens.

However, many clubs are likely to be put off by the price. It will cost £85m to secure the forward’s signature.

Kudus’s form suggests he will stay at West Ham

Despite rumours linking the 24-year-old with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle, his less than stellar performances are likely to deter potential suitors.

Kudus has only found the back of the net 3 times in 26 appearances for the Irons this campaign, which is a major regression on the 14 goals he managed in his first twelve months with the team.
