Pascal Siakam has been fined $25,000 for confronting and using profane language toward game officials after the Pacers' close loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
Indiana Pacers forward Pascal Siakam has been fined $25,000 for "confronting and directing profane language toward game officials" after Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, the NBA announced.
Siakam, a three-time All-Star, played a key role in the close contest, finishing with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists in 34 minutes of play. Despite his strong performance, the Pacers fell short by just two points.
This fine marks Siakam’s first major disciplinary action of the season beyond a couple of technical fouls, which had previously cost him a total of $4,000.
This season, the 30-year-old averages 20.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 52% from the field and 40% form the arc.
The Pacers will look to bounce back from the loss as they face the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
