Mohamed Salah offers himself as a free transfer for Barcelona - report

Mohamed Salah is enjoying an outstanding season at Liverpool FC, but rumors continue about what shirt he will be wearing next season.

A new report from Catalan media has said the Egyptian international has offered himself to FC Barcelona as a free transfer for next season. The link has been rumored for a while, but it’s by no means his only potential destination.

It’s understood that Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal has offered him an outstanding wage to tempt him to move outside of the top five leagues.

However, Barcelona have made contact with the star winger and that could offer Salah another experience in Europe. Still, the biggest problem is his wage, which is said to be 15 million euro a year. Barcelona can’t afford that and would want him to take a wage cut, but Liverpool might offer him a better contract. In addition, the Saudi deal will blow either proposal out of the water in terms of money.

If money is the main concern, Salah will go to Saudi Arabia. But some within Barcelona think that the Egyptian star wants to stay at the top level, and wants a new adventure after so many years in the Premier League. If that’s the case, a transfer to Barcelona does not seem too improbable.
