Exclusive: Everton make checks on ‘the next Erling Haaland’ as Friedkin Group eye statement…

The Friedkin Group have big plans for Everton.

The American investors want to return the Toffees to their past glories and are willing to give David Moyes a substantial transfer budget this summer.

Everton only signed Carlos Alcaraz in January as they purposefully kept their powder dry in preparation for a big spend.

Everton already have their eye on Hamza Igamane ahead of the window after his impressive performances for Rangers.

And now, speaking exclusively to Everton News, TBR’s transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has revealed that they’re eyeing a teenage wonderkid on the continent.

Everton make checks on Sindre Walle Egeli

Everton are in the market for statement signings this summer as their PSR restrictions are finally set to be lifted.

And, according to Bailey, they’re carrying on due diligence on FC Nordsjælland teenager Sindre Walle Egeli.

“Sindre Walle Egeli is one of the top young European wing prospects,” the transfer expert said. “The young Norwegian has been watched by a host of Premier League clubs.

“The Danish season is back underway and Everton are one of the clubs doing a bit of work on him, they are ready to move for some top talent this summer and don’t rule out the sort of player like Egeli – although getting him would be very difficult, but Everton going into this summer with Moyes and the Friedkin Group are a different proposition.”

Newcastle United also interested in Egeli

Everton are set to face stiff competition for Egeli’s signature this summer.

According to TBR, Newcastle are showing a serious interest in the Norweigan wonderkid, who has netted six times whilst laying on five assists.

Liverpool, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Fulham have all scouted him this season, too, so Moyes will have to put forward a convincing pitch to land him.

Egeli has been dubbed ‘the next Erling Haaland’, as per the Mail
