After a recovery session on Sunday following the weekend defeat at Nottingham Forest, Pep Guardiola gave his players Monday off.
Refreshed, it’s now all eyes on this weekend’s visit of Brighton and Hove Albion. Fabian Hurzeler’s men are the opponents in a 15:00 (UK) kick-off on Saturday 15 March.
With last Saturday’s loss leaving us fifth in the Premier League with 47 points from 28 games, we know there’s work to do to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Meanwhile, Brighton will have their own ambitions of European football next term. They are just one point and two places behind us, meaning we’re all set for a cracker at the Etihad Stadium.
In order to be in the best possible place for that one, Guardiola and his squad took to the CFA’s pitches earlier to get to work.
After a few days of warm spring sun, there was a chill in the air in Manchester on Tuesday meaning the players wrapped up for the occasion.
