Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea were both in action this past weekend
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur both have the chance to bolster their ranks this summer. They also have the opportunity to let some players head out the exit door as well if needed later this year when the next window opens.
The Blues are currently sat in the top four under the guidance of Enzo Maresca. They won 1-0 at home to Leicester City last time out with defender Marc Cucurella getting their goal.

Meanwhile, Spurs drew 2-2 at home to AFC Bournemouth. They came back from 2-0 down against the Cherries to draw level.
Ex-Chelsea man eyed by Tottenham Hotspur could be made available
Former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori, who remains on the books of AC Milan, could be available for transfer this summer for £16.8m, according to Italian news outlet CalcioMercato. Spurs were said to have explored a deal for him in January but nothing materialised in the end.
Tomori, 27, rose up through the academy ranks of the Blues and was a regular for them at various different youth levels. He was loaned out as a youngster to Brighton and Hove Albion, Hull City and Derby County in the Championship to get some experience under his belt.
He then broke into the first-team at Chelsea in 2019 and went on to play 28 matches for them altogether, finding the net on two occasions. AC Milan then came calling in 2020 on an initial temporary basis before his transfer to Serie A was made permanent.

The England international, who has made five caps for his country, has since played 167 games for the European giants and has scored seven goals from the back. The door could open for Spurs to move in for him again later this year if they are still in the hunt for defensive reinforcements. That department has been hurt by injuries over recent times.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur reaction
Maresca was relieved to see his Chelsea team get three points against Leicester. Speaking afterwards, he said: “Very happy. Very happy. The main reason is because [...] they play always a line of four but they arrived here with a line of five and they completely changed their plan. All the training sessions you have done, they go rubbish. You need a new plan. Before the warm-up, before the players go out, you need to give them a new plan.”
Meanwhile, Postecoglou had this to say after Spurs’ fightback against Bournemouth: “At 2-0 we had a bit of a mountain to climb. It was a chaotic game today and the boys showed a real mentality. It would have been really easy at 2-0, with the atmosphere in the stadium, to let it slip away from us but they fought hard and got themselves back in the game.
"It was a different kind of struggle for us today. Bournemouth pressed really well and we were really sloppy with the ball at times which allowed them to pin us back. It wasn't anything like Thursday but we hung in there."
