Nottingham Forest have been keen to land a new striker for some time but have failed to do so during the last two transfer windows.
Evangelos Marinakis tried hard to sign a striker in the January window. However, a number of targets fell by the wayside in an era where prices are inflated and PSR scares clubs to death.
Yoane Wissa was one of the players Forest wanted. Brentford – still holding lingering hopes of Europe – were keen to try and keep him, with the player happy to oblige and hold off exiting until the summer.
Another player fancied by Forest was Matheus Cunha. He chose to help Wolves in their fight against relegation and has a release clause worth £62.5 million in the new contract he signed that will be activated in the summer.
Forest will get back on the hunt for the summer. In terms of who might come in, a lot will likely depend on the European competition that Forest find themselves playing in during the 2025/26 campaign.

Nottingham Forest want Tammy Abraham
The Reds are going to be in search of new players in the summer and Abraham is unlikely to remain with AC Milan given that they’ve not signed former Forest target Santiago Gimenez.
According to Caught Offside, many Premier League clubs are keen to sign Abraham in the summer and have already opened talks with the player’s representatives over making a move in the summer.
It’s claimed that West Ham and Newcastle are two of the clubs who would be keen to sign Abraham in the summer. Wolves, Forest and Everton are the other trio of clubs linked with signing the striker in the summer.

Abraham is keen to sign for a Premier League club in the summer. The report claims that after several years in Italy, the player’s preference is to return to England ahead of next season.

It’s not been a vintage season for the 27-year-old in Italy but he’s found game time a little bit harder to come by this season at Milan.
Abraham knows how to score goals in the Premier League and in Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ola Aina, Forest have two players who he knows very well in their ranks.

Given his age, Abraham should be in his prime if not approaching it and if the price is right, this doesn’t feel like a bad deal for Forest.
There could be a lot of hoops for Forest to jump through to get this deal over the line but if the Champions League bowls into the City Ground next season, a move will surely look attractive for Abraham.
