Broncos Plan to Host North Dakota State Quarterback on Top-30 Visit

Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos can host 30 players on visits to the Broncos' facilities. Their first top-30 visit was with Kansas State running back DJ Giddens. They have now scheduled another visit, this time with a quarterback.

According to Mike Klis, Broncos reporter for 9NEWS, the Broncos have a top-30 visit lined up with North Dakota State quarterback Cam Miller.

After the Broncos brought back backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham, and with the incredible rookie year behind Bo Nix, the quarterback isn't a position of need. However, the Broncos are using one of their top 30 visits on Miller.

Miller was the quarterback for the Bison for the past three years. He started his career as the backup in 2020 but eventually earned the starting job during the 2021 season.

When Miller became the full-time starting quarterback in 2022, he had a solid season, totaling 1,978 passing yards, 13 passing touchdowns, and five interceptions. While those numbers didn't light up the stat sheet, it began Miller's development.

In 2023, Miller completed 71.4 percent of his passes for 2,750 yards and 19 touchdowns, with just four interceptions. His improvement continued in 2024, when he finished the season with a completion percentage of 72.9, 3,251 passing yards, 33 passing touchdowns, and four interceptions.

According to Pro Football Focus, Miller's 2024 season was graded as the fifth-best among all quarterbacks in college football. He earned a higher grade than Shedeur Sanders of Colorado and Jalen Milroe of Alabama.

Using one of their top-30 visits on an FCS quarterback is an interesting choice for the Broncos. However, developing a young quarterback behind Nix and Stidham would make sense, especially with Miller likely being a Day 3 pick.

The 2025 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 26. Day 3, consisting of rounds four through seven, is Saturday, April 28. Given their decision to use one of their top 30 visits on the North Dakota State quarterback, Miller could be one of the Broncos' selections.
