Raphinha’s wife Natalia Rodrigues has sent out an emotional message after seeing the Brazilian star score twice in a brilliant 3-1 win for Barcelona against Benfica in the Champions League.
The forward was actually late meeting up with the squad ahead of the game, and it’s now been revealed he was actually at hospital this morning with his family.
“I’m so proud of you, my love,” Natalia wrote on Instagram:
“You’ve been at the hospital with our child since early morning, yet you still managed to do your job brilliantly once again.
“You’re an amazing father and a true professional! We love you.”
The early start certainly didn’t hamper Raphinha. He scored twice, probably would have had a hat-trick if not for Frenkie de Jong, and put in another monster showing.
Raphinha is also now the top goalscorer in the Champions League this season with 11 goals from 10 games for Hansi Flick’s side.
