Manchester United will hope that the new 100,000-seater stadium attracts the world’s best players.
On Tuesday morning, Manchester United confirmed plans to build a new stadium as part of a wider regeneration project in Manchester.
The unique design of the new stadium features a net meshing over the venue, supported by three spires inspired by the devil’s trident that features on the club badge.
United fans had mixed views on the stadium, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe promising it will be the “world’s greatest” venue for the world’s greatest club.
Ruben Amorim’s United will continue to play at Old Trafford during the construction phase, so players will continue to get a close-up view of the progress being made.

Amad Diallo will still be at Man United when stadium is complete
The leading architect behind the project, Norman Foster, confirmed United’s stadium will be completed in 2030 if everything goes according to plan.
A project this size would usually take 10 years but Foster believes United can halve that timeline by taking advantage of Manchester’s shipping canal.

Amad signed a new deal with United in January, extending his stay at Old Trafford until 2030. Amad has quadrupled his wages to approximately £120,000 per week as a result of his strong form this season.
Summer signings Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui all have contracts that are valid until 2029, although all four players have an option to extend for an extra year.
