Although not officially starting until 4 p.m. on March 12th, free agency in the NFL has been the hot topic in the sports world over the past 2 days, as teams are allowed to "legally" tamper with available players as of March 10th. Superstar quarterback Josh Allen kicked things off by agreeing to a massive 6-year $330 million extension with the Buffalo Bills, followed by Sam Darnold's stunning 3-year $100 million contract agreement with the Seattle Seahawks. While we've seen some major contracts come to light so far, none have been more monumental than Aggies legend Myles Garrett.

Myles Garrett: 4 years, $160 million
Texas A&M legend Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns were able to find common ground after a rocky offseason, in a deal where Garrett is guaranteed $123.5 million over the next 4 years. This deal may certainly come as a surprise to many, as just over a month ago it was reported that Garrett was requesting a trade out of Cleveland, and wanted to play for a contender. Garrett, 29, is coming off his seventh straight double-digit sack season, including 4 straight seasons with 14 or more. The former Aggie has earned 5 straight Pro Bowl appearances and was last year's NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Garrett can now add being the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history to his already impressive resume.
Dan Moore Jr.: 4 years, $82 million
Former Aggie and Pittsburgh Steeler Dan Moore Jr. was one of the first names mentioned at the start of the legal tampering process, where an agreement was reached with the Tennessee Titans on a 4 year $82 million contract. The left tackle will have $50 million guaranteed in the deal, as the Titans will get a much-needed boost to their offensive line. The former 4th round pick played a major role in the trenches during the 2020 season for the Aggies, and will now see the first major payday of his career.
Bobby Brown III: 3 years, $21 million
Originally a 4th round pick out of Texas A&M, the former Ram will find himself signing a team-friendly deal with the Carolina Panthers, earning himself $7 million per season. With 44 tackles over 16 games in Los Angeles last year, Brown III has been one of the most reliable players in the NFL and finds himself joining a depleted Panthers defensive line.
Players can officially sign with a team on March 12th at 4:00 P.M.
