Trent Alexander-Arnold suffers injury as Liverpool given Carabao Cup final worry

Trent Alexander-Arnold limped off in Liverpool's Champions League last-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain just days before the Carabao Cup final.

The Reds right-back appeared to jar a knee when he challenged PSG midfielder Vitinha on the right touchline in the second half, and after receiving treatment from Reds medics he ended up being replaced by Jarell Quansah in the 73rd minute.

The blow will come as a concern to Liverpool boss Arne Slot just five days before Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United at Wembley. Alexander-Arnold also missed last season's Carabao Cup final, when he was part of a raft of injured Reds players who weren't able to face Chelsea.
