Steelers Must Sign Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is one of the top free agents left on the NFL free agency market. He is also one of the most intriguing players on the market.

At 41 years old, Rodgers is a clear-cut first ballot Hall of Fame. He has a few different potential landing spots, although two are perceived to be the front-runners for his services.

Those two teams are none other than the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Either one of those teams would offer Rodgers an intriguing landing spot. However, there is one that is clearly better than the other for where Rodgers is at in his career.

There is also one team that desperately needs Rodgers with where they are as a franchise.

Landing with the Steelers would be the best possible outcome for both the team and Rodgers. He would instantly have a chance to compete for another Super Bowl.

Pittsburgh has put together an aggressive offseason. On offense, the Steelers have a chance to be one of the most dynamic units in the entire NFL.

After pulling off the blockbuster trade to acquire star wide receiver DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh has one of the best wideout duos in the league. Both Metcalf and George Pickens are elite wide receivers.

Bringing in an elite and proven quarterback like Rodgers would help take both players to the next level.

Mike Tomlin and the Steelers are all-in on winning a championship. There is no interest from Pittsburgh in going through any kind of a rebuilding process. They want to compete and they want to compete now.

At this point in time, there is no better quarterback available to win right now than Rodgers.

During the 2024 NFL season with the New York Jets, Rodgers proved that he can still play at a high level. Despite the media criticism, the ageless wonder put together a very strong campaign.

In 17 games, Rodgers completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Those numbers would be exactly what the Steelers need and would likely increase with the weapons he would have at his disposal.

This is a match made in heaven. Pittsburgh needs to do everything necessary to land Rodgers.

If they can make the move happen, the Steelers would instantly be among the top Super Bowl contenders in the NFL. Hopefully, they can get a deal done.
