Hansi Flick told reporters that his Barcelona side _“did a great job”_ [against Benfica on Tuesday](https://fromthespot.co.uk/17239/barcelona-3-1-benfica-4-1-agg-raphinha-stars-again-as-barca-qualify-for-champions-league-quarter-finals/) to secure their progression to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
On an emotional night at the Estadi Olimpic Lluís Companys, a brace from Raphinha and a stunning effort from Lamine Yamal helped the Catalan side to a 3-1 victory on the night, adding to their 1-0 win from last week’s first leg.
_“I’m really happy with the qualification,”_ Flick expressed in his post-match press conference, but the German added that _“we could have scored a few goals more.”_
Barça will face either LOSC Lille or Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, and Flick emphasised that _“it’s important now that we only look at the quarter-finals.”_
_“We’ve got high expectations,”_ he reminded reporters, noting that _“winning the Champions League is very complicated but I hope we’ll be able to do it.”_
As for what is behind Barcelona’s success this season, Flick revealed: _“We start with an idea and a positive mentality. Everyone plays their role and gives 100%. That’s the foundation of everything. The players that came on in the second half also gave their best, and that’s how we’ll win titles. But there’s a long way to go.”_
