The Baltimore Ravens has a history of giving quarterback Lamar Jackson some veteran help at wide receiver. In 2023, the Ravens had Odell Beckham Jr. on their roster. He recorded 565 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Beckham went to the Miami Dolphins in 2024 and the Ravens tried adding Nelson Agholor and Diontae Johnson to the roster. Both receivers didn’t come close to the production that Rashod Bateman and Zay Flowers provided.
DeSean Jackson was a spectacular failure in 2022, giving the Ravens just 153 receiving yards. In 2021 they had Sammy Watkins. In 2020 Dez Bryant was in Baltimore. The list goes on and on.

On Tuesday, the Ravens agreed to a one-year deal with DeAndre Hopkins worth $6 million, Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
“Lamar Jackson has a new weapon: Sources say formerChiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins is expected to sign with theRavens on a 1-year, $6M deal,” Rapoport posted on X. “A new home with another AFC powerhouse. Deal done by Tory Dandy of CAA.”

At 32, Hopkins is coming off a season where he recorded 56 receptions for 610 yards and five touchdowns between his time with the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs.

Fans reacted to the news of Hopkins agreeing to join Baltimore. Not everyone is ready to see him be a Ravens WR.
“Praying for a better outcome than the Diontae Johnson situation,” wrote a fan.
“The ravens do not take Lamar seriously. They are allergic to getting him an actual WR1,” posted another.
“Load up on calcium tablets and Metamucil in the training facility,” suggested a fan.
“The ravens always sign washed receivers,” wrote another.
“Dude hasn’t been good in years,” believes a fan.
“Low risk move here for Baltimore,” hopes a fan.
