ENNHRI’s General Assembly and other meetings
With over 50 European NHRI representatives gathering, the General Assembly was the ideal forum to look at important network matters. Members provided further vital contributions to the development of ENNHRI’s new Strategic Plan during a dedicated session. Contemporary turbulent times make supporting, strengthening and connecting NHRIs ever more important. The Plan will enter into effect in 2026.
The meeting also offered an ideal opportunity to reflect on recent milestones. ENNHRI’s Chair, Secretary General, and Finance Committee Chair reported on important work done since the previous General Assembly in October 2024.
ENNHRI representatives also joined GANHRI’s Bureau Meeting yesterday and its General Assembly today to report back on work done in Europe in the recent period.
Tomorrow sees GANHRI hold its 2025 Annual Conference. This year’s edition focuses on how NHRIs advance gender equality and protect and promote the rights of women and girls. A joint social media campaign from ENNHRI, the other regional NHRI networks, and GANHRI highlights NHRI good practices in this area.
All of the above meetings are taking place in the context of GANHRI’s 2025 Annual Meeting.
