Buffalo Bills awarded two compensatory picks in 2025 NFL Draft

The [Buffalo Bills](https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/) were awarded two compensatory picks in the 2025 NFL Draft on Tuesday.

Buffalo added [two picks in the fifth round](https://x.com/FieldYates/status/1899588677048873071/photo/1), pick 169 and pick 173. These were awarded to the Bills after losing Gabe Davis to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Leonard Floyd to the San Francisco 49ers in free agency last year.

The team now holds ten total picks with seven of the selections coming on day three of the draft. Here’s a look at where the picks fall in the 2025 NFL Draft:

Buffalo could have trouble fitting 10 rookies on their 53-man roster so general manager Brandon Beane may use some of the picks in trade-ups throughout the three-day draft.

Compensatory picks are awarded to teams that lose more free agents than they gain in an offseason. The maximum amount of compensatory picks that a team can receive in a given year is four.

The league gave out a total of 37 compensatory picks for this year’s draft.
