Seahawks Reacts Survey: How do you feel about the Geno Smith, DK Metcalf trade compensation?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-inSeattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country.Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

Why yes, it’s time for a special edition of Seattle Seahawks reacts! It’s an offseason version that is very much about the two big trades the team pulled off earlier this month. They moved Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders for a 2025 third-round pick and then sent star receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 2025 second-round pick and swapped their sixth-rounder for one of Pittsburgh’s two seventh-rounders.

The questions for both are the same: Are you satisfied with the draft compensation? Was it as you expected, more than expected, or less than you had hoped for?

Then there’s the last question which I’m putting in there because I’ve seen it speculated a bunch. Tank time? The Seahawks signed Sam Darnold so I’m not anticipating some sort of bottoming out, but leaving that aside, are you pro-tanking for a high draft pick to select a quarterback in 2026? The likes of Drew Allar, Arch Manning, Cade Klubnik, and Garrett Nussmeier figure to be in the mix for next year’s class but it’s not like they’re all locks. On paper, next year’s class “looks” stronger. Tanking, in this sense, means the Seahawks are basically a bad team that’s playing for 2026 while shedding a lot of payroll. I have made my thoughts clear on tanking so I won’t persuade or dissuade in the article, but I want to see how many fans believe it’s best to punt on 2025 so they can find a young(er than Darnold) franchise option next year?

Vote below! Don’t worry, we’ll do a separate Sam Darnold survey of sorts at another time.

Check back later in the week for the results from this survey.
