Wizards’ Alex Sarr Makes NBA History With Epic Milestone

Washington Wizards big man Alex Sarr has etched his name as one of the greatest youngsters in NBA history. The 19-year-old is the first rookie to record 60 3-pointers, 300 rebounds, 105 assists, and 70 blocks.

Sarr achieved the milestone in the Wizards' 103-123 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. The Frenchman scored eight points, was 1-of-3 from deep, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists, and had one block.

His stellar performance comes after back-to-back double-doubles against the Toronto Raptors, where he tallied 10 points, 14 rebounds and 16 points, 11 rebounds.

Sarr was the second overall pick of the Wizards in the 2024 NBA Draft. Alex's professional career started in 2021. He played two seasons at the Atlanta-based basketball league Overtime Elite, the first with Team Overtime and the second with YNG Dreamerz. In 2023, Sarr signed with the Perth Wildcats of the Australian National Basketball League.

In his NBA debut, Sarr had two points, five rebounds, one assist, and two blocks. He was named December's Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month.

So far, the 7'0" big man has played and started in 48 games for Washington. He's averaging 11.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 blocks. He's shooting 38.9% from the field and 30.9% from downtown.
