Graham Potter was named as the new West Ham United head coach just over two months ago.
The West Ham owners decided to part ways with Julen Lopetegui in early January, and brought Graham Potter to the London Stadium to replace the hapless Spaniard.
Despite making an instant impact at West Ham, progress has been slow and painful to watch at times.
Graham Potter sent the West Ham fans an apology on Monday night, due to the fact that positive change is not happening as quickly as he would like.
He doesn’t need to apologise at all. Good things come to those who wait, and it will take a long time for his ideas to bed in.

Potter has a lot of work to do at West Ham this summer, with a big clear-out needed at the London Stadium.
Big Graham Potter rebuild incoming at West Ham
There are far too many players who are stealing a living at the club right now.
The Hammers head coach needs to be ruthless with his transfer business this summer.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Players who are contributing little to the setup all need to be moved on. Guido Rodriguez, Vladimir Coufal, Lukasz Fabianski, Danny Ings, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet, Niclas Fullkrug and Andy Irving all need to be sold or released.
In all fairness, there are probably another few names you can add to that list.
Potter then needs to bring young and hungry talents into the club.
I want to see us operate more like Brighton and Brentford going forward. Let’s buy talented youngsters before they become stars and allow Potter to mould them into the type of players he wants and needs to fit his system.

Will he be given sufficient funds to oversee the squad rebuild that the Hammers so desperately need though?
It will certainly help his cause if the West Ham owners are impressed by the work Potter is doing at the club.
What West Ham hierarchy are saying about Graham Potter
Potter has definitely improved certain aspects about the way his team play.
However, results haven’t been great. So what do those behind the scenes really think about the 49-year-old’s influence at the London Stadium?
The Daily Mail has now lifted the lid on what people within the club are saying about Potter.
It is suggested that the 49-year-old has made a big impact at the London Stadium behind the scenes.
Potter is said to have ‘lifted the mood and made everyone feel more united’.
The Hammers head coach has also impressed key figures at the club by ‘communicating clearly what he wants to see’.
I firmly believe that Graham Potter will succeed at West Ham, if given the time he needs.
We all need to be patient with the former Chelsea and Brighton boss. As long as he is adequately backed by the Hammers board in the next two or three transfer windows, I don’t see why the Hammers won’t be back challenging for Europe within the next year or so.
