CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland Browns defensive end, Myles Garrett, agreed to a four-year contract extension making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Garrett will make $160 million through 2030, with $123.5 million guaranteed and a no-trade clause.
All this happened Sunday, after weeks of what looked to become a prolonged stalemate between the Browns and Garrett. Garrett saying he wanted to be traded to a contender and would do anything to make that happen. General Manager Andrew Berry consistently countered that he wouldn’t trade Garrett even if offered two No. 1 picks.
Now that the Browns will have Garrett to help them chase Super Bowls, next comes the hard part — finding a quarterback that can get the job done.
