Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are in the picture to sign AFC Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, according to Area Napoli.
The winger has starred for the Cherries this season, managing nine goals and five assists 31 games.
Last week, TuttoMercatoWeb reported Napoli are looking at Semenyo, who they thought was valued at €30m by Bournemouth.
Area Napoli now claim his asking price is higher and also cover Tottenham and Chelsea’s interest. They state that English sources have informed them that Bournemouth’s real demand is ‘quite high’, between €40-50m.
The Serie A club have signed Bournemouth’s Philip Billing and Hamed Traorè on loan in the last two winter markets. These two transfer have helped Napoli develop good ties with the Cherries, but it won’t help them get a discount for Semenyo.
As well as the price tag, Antonio Conte’s side will face competition from Tottenham and Chelsea. The Premier League duo are interested in the 25-year-old and have ‘no problem’ putting a ‘significant money’ on the table.
These factors make would make it difficult for Napoli to sign the Ghana international in the summer window.
Meanwhile, Semenyo’s compatriot Matthew Amoah has urged him not to join Tottenham.
