Liverpool supporters were left furious by Achraf Hakimi's celebrations after Paris Saint-Germain knocked the Premier League leaders out of the Champions League.
Morocco right-back Hakimi played the full 120 minutes as PSG recovered from a first-leg defeat to get the better of their English opponents. Ousmane Dembele's first-half goal cancelled out Harvey Elliott's effort from the first leg, and Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones both failed from the spot as Liverpool lost 4-1 on penalties.
Arne Slot's Reds finished on top of the pile after the league phase, with PSG forced to go through a play-off against Brest. Luis Enrique's side have been on fire in 2025, though, with that first-leg reverse their only defeat in 19 matches.
Les Parisiens will go on to play Aston Villa or Club Brugge in the quarter-finals, while Liverpool will have to recover quickly ahead of Sunday's Carabao Cup final. Frustrations were clear at full-time, but the fans' anger intensified when Hakimi celebrated by holding up a PSG flag.

Hakimi's gesture was met with jeers by some in the Kop. It was just another frustration for the home support after a frustrating evening, where the Reds created far more than in the first leg but weren't able to find a way past Donnarumma.
Liverpool went on to win the Champions League in the 2018-19 season after locking horns with PSG in the group stage. The Ligue 1 holders will hope they can do the honours this time around, having fallen at the semi-final stage last season.
Aston Villa are their likely opponents in the last eight after winning 3-1 in Belgium in their own first leg. However, as PSG showed on Tuesday, home advantage isn't the be all and end all in the second leg.

PSG manager Luis Enrique remained confident of progressing after his team's first leg defeat, and that optimism was justified with the success at Anfield. However, speaking to Amazon Prime after the penalty shootout, he argued that "Both of the teams deserve to go to the next phase".
"They play better than us here, but I think my team at Anfield, in a special stadium showed great personality and character," the Spaniard added. "We tried to play our best, but it was difficult as they're so intense. Both teams deserve to qualify.
"The character and personality, even when we shoot at the penalty shootout they showed great character. I think it shows clearly the team we are."
Luis Enrique has won the Champions League as a manager before, with his Barcelona team beating Juventus in the 2015 final. He could still end up facing off against his former employers in this year's final after Lamine Yamal inspired Barca to a 4-1 aggregate victory over Benfica.
