Chelsea star finds his future uncertain at Stamford Bridge

One Chelsea star finds his future uncertain at Stamford Bridge. He can exit the club in the upcoming summer window with the Blues already looking at his replacements.

The star in question here is Jadon Sancho who joined the Blues on loan in summer 2024. Sancho was signed by Manchester United for £73 million from Borussia Dortmund. However, the deal has not went as per plans for both club and player.

Sancho had high expectations from United fans. He was superb while playing for Dortmund and was considered one of the best young players in the world. But, his form saw a significant dip after moving to England.

Later, Sancho was involved in fall-out with former United boss Erik Ten Hag. This saw him sit on bench for half of 2023/24 season. He then joined Dortmund on half season loan and impressed there once again.

However, Sancho was unable to impress Man United and was once again linked with exit. It was hard to sell him permanently and hence the Red Devils opted to send him on loan. Chelsea opted to sign him on loan with an option to buy.

Chelsea to let Sancho leave after this season?

The Blues have an option to buy Sancho if they finish above 14th position in Premier League. They will need to pay United in a region between £22 million to £25 million. But, the West London club are said to opt against this deal.

According to The Daily Mail via Caught Offside, Chelsea may opt against making Sancho their permanent player. This will then need them to pay a penalty to Man United. The Red Devils will be forced to welcome Sancho once again.

Sancho had a good start to his Chelsea career but his form dipped once again. He has scored just 2 goals and picked 4 assists in 22 Premier League games. The Blues are not fully convinced with him and are planning to replace him in summer.
