Here is the xG from the Spurs game which feels more like a defeat than a point gained. In the first minute, a mistake by Romero allowed Evanilson a good chance (1 in 4) that Vicario saved. Two minutes later Kluivert had a better chance (1 in 3) but again it was saved. Two minutes later, Spurs also had a good chance (1 in 4) that Danso missed. In the 9th minute, Bissouma had a shot blocked (1 in 11) followed by a blocked shot from Tavernier (1 in 9). Adams had a shot blocked in the 33rd minute, until the next big chance in the 41st minute when AFCB went in front. A superb cross by Kerkez found Tavernier at the far post who volleyed home (1 in 4). At half time the xG was Spurs 0.44 and AFCB 1.20.
The second half had no real chances until the 62nd minute when Sarr shot wide (1 in 9). Two minutes later Bournemouth was 2 in front, Kluivert letting the ball run across him and finding Evanilson who flicked it over Spurs’ keeper (3 in 5). This lead was short-lived, and it was in unfortunate circumstances with a mishit cross from Sarr, looping beyond Kepa and going in off the far post (rated 1 in 40). AFCB continued to be the better team with half-chances, the best being a header from Huijsen that was wide (1 in 9). Then Spurs got a penalty, Kepa came out to challenge Son who was heading wide and brought him down. Son converted the spot-kick (79%) and it was 2-2. There was one minor chance for both sides before the final whistle. The xG was Spurs 1.53 AFCB 2.20. Understat had a bigger margin for AFCB being 1.35 vs 2.23.

There were two changes to the team who lost to Brighton, with Tavernier (16) replacing Brooks (7) and Evanilson coming in for Ouattara (11). The formation looks like a wall of six, high up the pitch with Christie (10) and Adams (12) playing deep, with three in front and with Kluivert (11) furthest forward. In the 71st minute at 2-1, Christie and Evanilson (9) were replaced by Scott (8) and Ouattara (11) with Ouattara playing very high. In the 81st minute Brooks (7) replaced Tavernier (16). In the 90th minute Sinisterra (17) replaced Semenyo (24).
