Yasin Ayari struggled for a prominent role at Brighton & Hove Albion after joining them from AIK Fotboll in January 2023. Last season, the Premier League club sent him on loan to Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers.
Since returning to The Amex, the midfielder featured regularly under Fabian Hürzeler and made 28 appearances for Brighton this season.
The latest claims in the UK have stated both AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are looking at the Brighton player for the summer window.
FotbollDirekt relay that and then provide their own updates on the Seagulls’ stance. Ayari’s contract lasts until 2027, and Transfermarkt currently value him at €12m.
The English club are asking for ‘huge money’ to consider sanctioning the midfielder’s sale after this season. FotbollDirekt found out from their sources that Brighton are demanding SEK 400m [€36.5m] for the Sweden international.
Taking Ayari’s performances into account, the report states his valuation is ‘only growing’.
If Brighton were to sell the player for SEK 400m, AIK will be entitled to receive SEK 50m [€4.6m]. The Swedish club secured a 15% sell on clause when they sold him to Brighton. AIK director Fredrik Söderberg, however, has refused to comment on it.
“I never comment on contracts that have been signed,” he said.
