Ed Sheeran fulfils childhood dream with launch of limited edition football stickers

Suffolk superstar Ed Sheeran will feature on a set of limited edition football stickers to be given away to fans this weekend.

Fans watching Ipswich Town take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday will be able to pick up a special shiny sticker.

It features the Framlingham-raised singer The Blues’ kit, celebrating his life-long love for the club.

Katie Gritt, head of marketing for sport at Panini said the firm was delighted to have made Ed’s childhood dream of adorning a ‘shiny’ sticker a reality.

She added: “It’s great for us to be able to collaborate in this way with both Ed and the team at Ipswich Town to bring something really fun to the fans that they can keep.

“We will also be giving out free Premier League Sticker Albums and Premier League stickers to fans at Portman Road before the game so there will be lots for fans to enjoy.”

Town fans hoping to get their hands on one will be able to do so from 1pm.

Mark Aston, chairman of Ipswich Town, said bringing the club, Ed and Panini together to create something bespoke was ‘great’ for supporters.

“I know Ed loves the design and is a fan of Panini so hopefully those attending Portman Road on Saturday get their hands on one,” he said.
