Manchester United look set to recruit talented wonderkids from across the globe this summer as Sir Jim Ratcliffe builds toward the future.

So far Ineos‘ footballing decisions at Manchester United have been largely positive, with recruitment an exciting glimpse into the future.

Decisions to recruit young have already paid off with Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven becoming established first-team players in a matter of months.

United are not quite done though, with an agreement to sign Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno this summer already completed.

This represents a dip into the South American which United had ignored for years missing out on some extraordinary talents like Moises Caicedo.

Now, the deal for Leon could soon be followed by more younger from the continent which has produced the likes of Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Cafu and Roberto Carlos.

Argentina in particular appears to be a hotbed for wonderkids, with United showing interest in Franco Mastantuono from River Plate. The talented number 10 has been impressing Europe’s elite for weeks.

Last week, United were linked with moving to sign Juan Gimenez with the teenager from Rosario attracting plenty of suitors. Now, United in Focus understand his Argentina U20 teammate Tobias Ramirez has also caught the eye.

Speaking with Graeme Bailey, United in Focus can confirm that not only have United followed up on Gimenez but also his central defensive partner for the Argentine youth team, Ramirez.

United have asked Argentinos Juniors about the availability of Ramirez who has been lauded in Argentina as “one of the greatest promises’ in the country right now.

Tobias Ramirez and Juan Gimenez both caught the eye during U20 South American Championship

Graeme continues to explain that the pair of Argentine central defenders impressed during this year’s U20 South American Championship.

The pair featured for Argentina throughout, going all the way to the final round, before being defeated by Paraguay as United signing Leon scored for his side in the 3-2 win.

It seems clear United would have had scouts at this game, which re-ignited a year-long pursuit of Gimenez but also led to Ramirez emerging as a target for Ineos.

These are both very exciting possible additions for the Red Devils, completely in line with what Ineos are trying to do in terms of recruitment.
