Brighton and Hove Albion will be given the chance to sign Oliver Boscagli on a free this summer as he’s decided to leave PSV Eindhoven.
That’s [according to Eindhovens Dagblad](https://www.ed.nl/psv/boscagli-verlaat-psv-na-dit-seizoen-en-de-club-gaat-snel-op-zoek-naar-een-opvolger~ae202c46/), who report the defender will depart at the end of his contract, something which will be of interest to Brighton.
They were keen on signing the centre-back during their summer transfer window splurge and offered €8m for him but saw the bid rejected by PSV.
The Dutch side instead decided to keep the defender this season and play the risky game of losing him on a free this summer instead. That has now come to pass as ED report that Boscagli has decided to depart and not sign a new contract.
That has not come as a big surprise to anyone at the club and there has been ‘clarity for a while’ on the matter as Boscagli indicated after the winter break he wanted to move elsewhere.
Whether Brighton return for him, remains to be seen. They were certainly keen in the summer and didn’t sign any alternatives. Boscagli was also more than happy to make the move and made that clear after PSV blocked it.
