Warriors’ Jonathan Kuminga Update Draws Strong Fan Response

The Golden State Warriors have continued to soar up the Western Conference standings over the past few weeks.

Golden State sits at No. 6 in the Western Conference standings with a 37-28 record, winning five straight games.

While the Warriors have been successful as of late, they're missing one of their key contributors, forward Jonathan Kuminga.

The talented forward has been sidelined since Jan. 4, dealing with a high ankle sprain.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Kuminga is set to make his official return to the lineup on Thursday when the Warriors face off against the Sacramento Kings.

Kuminga has been a bright spot for the Warriors this season, serving as a versatile weapon on both sides of the ball. As Charania explained, Kuminga was averaging 20.5 points over his last 14 games in which he was active.

So far this season, Kuminga has averaged 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

After the news broke that Kuminga will likely make his return, some fans took to social media to share their thoughts.

"Here come the Dubs," said one fan.

"Warriors is more dangerous now," said another fan.

"RING USSSSSSS NEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW," mentioned one fan.

"Warriors winning it all. It's all over for the league," commented one fan.

"Curry is getting a 5th ring," said another fan.

Kuminga will be joining a group with newly acquired star, Jimmy Butler. The Warriors star was traded to the organization ahead of the NBA's trade deadline and has since flourished in his role with Golden State.

Throughout this season, playing for both the Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors, Butler has averaged 17.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
