Rasmus Hojlund arrived at Manchester United with high expectations, but his time at Old Trafford has been far from ideal.
Signed for a significant fee from Atalanta, the Danish striker has struggled to deliver, failing to score in 20 consecutive appearances.
Reports from the Manchester Evening News suggest that United’s coaching staff are growing increasingly frustrated with his lack of impact, and with Joshua Zirkzee also failing to impress, the club is prioritizing a new striker in the summer transfer window.
United have been linked with several attacking options, but securing a top-tier forward is proving difficult.
Reports from Give Me Sport indicate that two of their main targets, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, are unlikely to join if the club fails to qualify for European football.
With United currently outside the Champions League and Europa League spots, their recruitment strategy may have to adjust accordingly.

A potential solution could come in the form of a swap deal involving Rasmus Hojlund.
According to Italian journalist Luca Cerchione, United have proposed an offer that includes Hojlund plus €40 million (£33.75 million) to acquire Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte is reportedly a fan of Hojlund, particularly given his previous success in Serie A with Atalanta, which could make the deal more attractive.
Victor Osimhen’s release clause is currently set at €120 million, but this will drop to around €75-€80 million from July 1.
Napoli fully intends to sell, as the Nigerian striker has no future at the club, making a summer transfer highly likely.
With limited striking options available and European football uncertain, United may see this swap deal as their best chance to upgrade their attack.
