Player must be angry as he finds himself surplus weeks after Brighton move blocked

Clement Bischoff was close to joining Brighton in the winter transfer window, but his move fell through at the final stages.

The player has already expressed his disappointment about the situation and more has now emerged from Denmark about how things are turning out to be for him at Brondby.

EkstraBladet have reported that the 19-year-old is now surplus to requirements in the team’s 4-2-3-1 system. The feeling is that a change in system and formation will not benefit him as he can’t fit in to the current setup in any way.

This transformation in approach from the team has taken place just weeks after the talent’s failed move to Brighton.

Bischoff was operating in his usual left wing-back role before this change away from a back three and it is now easy to see why he would be frustrated with life at Brondby.

Brighton also play a back four under Fabian Hurzeler and that may not have helped the teenager either, but that the Seagulls were keen on signing him suggests they had a plan and some faith.
